Beauty Expert Review! Mesotherapy, Healing the Skin with Vitamins!

The goal when doing mesotherapy is to allow your skin to work in tandem with the vitamins to heal any issues, boost collagen and the elastin production.

Mesotherapy uses multiple micro injections of minerals, plant extracts, amino acids, vitamins, and other ingredients like hyaluronic acid that are put in the skin in order to help the skin heal. It helps with pores, scars, hydration , fine lines, lack lustre skin, loss of elasticity and premature aging.

The procedure takes about 30 mins and can hurt a little if your face isn’t frozen completely. Through the treatment you’ll be enduring multiple micro needles injected all over the face. You’ll bleed for sure, as it’s going into the skin and you’ll be left with little dots of solution which will dissolve within a day.

They have different types of mesotherapy, some are just cocktails of vitamins and other have more hyaluronic acid to help with lost hydration or volume.

A mesofacial depending on the concern can very from different vitamins and can range anywhere from $125 to $500 dollars depending on what you choose to heal your skin with.

It will not freeze the skin movement like Botox or fill your face like a filler, it will just make the foundation of the skin to be stronger, allowing your face to look more youthful and hydrated & Over time the issues you were concerned will dissolve.

I do it once a year at most, as my skin is pretty healthy and I maintain my skin at home. However, if you are correcting issues you may need to do it more frequently.

I started doing mesotherapy because I wanted to prevent wrinkles and keep my skin young. Based on my results I do enjoy it and I know it does help to maintain my youthful skin.

Annie is a beauty blogger and a long time skin guru. I met Annie in the industry when I was doing a co-op, and at that time I was deciding if I wanted to work with cosmetics and start my journey into the beauty world. Annie really knows what she’s talking about! She recently supported my business through COVID and to my surprise wrote me the nicest review ever. She also gave amazing tips for taking care of your skin if it’s oily combination.

I would recommend you check out her blogs for unbiased reviews. She discusses issues like oily skin and over drying the skin. Below is a snippet of her beautiful blog, she truly is addicted to beauty. Follow her amazing journey and fabulous tips.

“Usually when I change my cleanser, I will change it to a foam or cream cleanser. But why those? You ask. It’s because for my skin that is combination to oily, I don’t want it to over wash it and leave my skin feeling super uncomfortable. And for me, gel cleansers tend to be over stripping and leaves my skin feeling tight and dehydrated. Of course, I use a toner after I wash my face but you don’t want to necessarily have a cleanser that will over clean your skin because that can seriously lead to an unbalancing of the skin which can then lead to overproduction of the sebum and make you look more shiny or make you break out.”

Beauty Expert Review! Is Cryotherapy worth the hype?

What standing in a literal freezing chamber pretty much naked can do for your body, mind and health for only 3 minuets and why it was one of the first things I did when things opened up from covid.

First off the definition of Cryotherapy is a treatment of extreme cold temperatures, using liquid nitrogen on the body to go anywhere from -160c to -196c in an enclosed space for 1 to 3 minutes. You are simply in your undies with knee high socks, gloves and slippers to protect yourself. It’s a great look!

Cryotherapy tricks your body to go into survival mode. These frigid temperatures trick your body into thinking something extreme is going to happen. Making your major organs the prime focus and therefore your mind sends signals to redirect all you blood to protect your organs. Once completed and you leave the chamber, your mind realizes it’s “safe” again and starts pumping new oxygen rich blood throughout the body. It decreases toxins with the extreme blast of cold.

Its said to decrease inflammation, help produce collagen, detox the blood, boost metabolism, heal injuries faster, improve sleep, hair and elevate your mood and it did all these things for me.

After 5 treatments I noticed a significant decrease in the swelling in my knee, a decrease in pain for up to 4 to 6 hours afterwards, I slept like a peaceful baby that night, my skin looked more toned on my face and body. My water retention also decreased. I noticed an elevation in my mood and my hair is shiny and more manageable, which is rare for me. The results are temporary at this point.

I have done over 50 treatments ish in total to see if the results are long term and honestly this treatment rocks and I’m addicted to my skin looking firmer, and my eyes looking brighter and pain management. You do have to keep up with it so I go at least twice a month now ✨

I would invest in cryotherapy if you are in pain or your an athletic person with aches and pains. It would be highly beneficial if you are jet legged from travelling, as it instantly gives you a jolt of energy. There are skin benefits, but I can’t say if they are long lasting at this point. I’ve been doing it for two years and it has been such a help. However be careful where you go as you need someone experienced.

I would say it’s worth a shot at least once and decide for yourself, however, i f you have heart problems or health issues check with your doctor before proceeding.

Now go freeze your ass of literally 😉 Seriously it burns extra calories too 🌿

A picture is worth a thousand words, so why not share the story!

Behind every picture there’s a story. This saying inspired me to post a series of pictures allowing me express why I post what I do. I wanted to share what I value without a clever joke or quote!

I started thinking, how can I make a human connection in a digital world. Let go of the so called norm and the stigma behind the not so glam and unveil the truth!

Don’t get me wrong, I love taking pretty pictures, if you follow my feed that’s clear! Having a beautiful instagram account is real art, however, so is being true to yourself.

In conclusion, I stopped posting glitz and went raw for a week! I’m not sure if I’ll keep them up, but I wanted to change my norm.

I posted about things I normally wouldn’t normally share. Things like my brain surgery and subsequently memory loss at 18, how I’m so lucky to be alive, my pup and love for animals, the fact I adore jewelry and used to make it in the past and simple pleasures like coffee and a bouquet of flowers!

I look at many images on my feed and very rarely do I know the people behind the images! I just see faces and voiceless ones at that. I have made biases without realizing this is just a picture and not a whole person. I stopped crediting the source. Devaluing or over valuing someone based on a post. How silly does this seem?!

I shared some depth and as a result lost some followers, but hey, I’d rather be me than fake!! I hope more people realize an image is just that, but behind that image is a bigger story!

I intend to go back to the more aesthetically pleasing side, but not before shared some of what makes me who I am (not glamour) and just truth! I got so sick of seeing the same. I wanted to break the linear path I was on.

We can all lose sight of who we are in the noise of the day to day. So I also decided to take a tiny break from social media to realize who I am without comparing to others.

I highly recommend a day or two disconnecting, in order to properly reconnect with your form of reality and remind yourself what makes you unique.

Finding your sense of self in a picture perfect world!

Skin 101

What do you have for the rest of your life and can’t replace ever?! The answer ladies and gents is … your face! Since it’s irreplaceable, let’s treat it with care.

If you neglect your skin you’ll be on the fast track to dissatisfaction and you can expect to see the following as you age; dark spots, fine lines, wrinkles, enlarged pores, a loss of elasticity, breakouts and thinning skin.

Your skin aging has a few variables, and that depends on your genetic make up and unique lifestyle. If you smoke, drink alcohol and don’t sleep, you can expect to be wearing that on your face, sooner rather than later. Unless you are that one off in mankind, and in that case your genes need to be studied and duplicated.

However, you can prevent distressed and aging skin, even if the signs exist now. Prevention is always easier than correcting skin issues down the road, and so much cheaper. This rings true in just about anything in life.

Example, it’s easier to prevent your leather or faux leather shoes from getting worn out by using a shoe protectant, rather than fixing that damage down the road because you didn’t buy the cheap 5 dollar bottle. Your skin is exactly the same as your precious shoes. Invest now and save money later.

Prevention starts with the basic steps which I will now share. Cleanse, tone, moisturize, apply sunscreen and exfoliate once a week, Non-negotiable!

Cleanse in order to get rid of surface dirt and impurities from pollution, oils and make up. bar soap is for your body, it is not cool for your face, so put down the Dove ASAP unless it’s below the neck.

Toner is used to balance the ph level of skin after cleansing and to prep your skin for moisturizer. In my opinion always buy the same cleanser and toner brand, as they balance each other. Think of a husband and wife they keep each other balanced. Now pair up cleanser toner.

Moisturizer is what you use to add back hydration. A good moisturizer will protect, nourish, and allow your skin to feel balanced. It creates a barrier from the elements. A proper skin hydration will allow your skin to properly perform essential functions helping your skin remain youthful and resilient. Without hydration your skin can’t do anything. Imagine you don’t drink water for a day how will you feel and perform.

Sunscreen is needed to protect your skin from the Ultraviolet rays which their are few kinds. UVA means ultraviolet aging, UVB means ultraviolet burning, so slap on that spf and protect yourself from dark spots, wrinkles, and cancer.

Exfoliating is crucial as your skin cells die and sit there. You need remove the dead skin, thus helping with texture, dry patches, and trapped dirt and oil. It allows you to use less products and refines skin.

Journey to Self Love and Confidence!

My own testimonial Thursday in the last 10 years

I struggled with so much inner conflict, but my belief in achieving my dreams has always been higher. Rather than the voices of doubt!

We all have that voice saying what if I can’t?! Have you heard of imposter syndrome? It’s a real thing and it kills dreams! (I’ll train on this another time)

However, I didn’t listen to my head saying I was worthless and acted inspite of it! When someone said no you can’t, my brain said I’ll prove you wrong!

I’m not a hero…Just brave enough to tell self doubt to hit the road! I acted with fear in my belly and still do! Anyone who tells you making changes to your life isn’t scary is lying.

At 19 I became a Zumba instructor with no formal training! I graduated at the top of my class living in a city on my own & got 4 rewards in the process! I worked 3 jobs to pay my bills and babysat on the side!

Want to know the best part?! I did this all while recovering from a severe brain aneurysm, anorexia, polycystic fibrosis, liver problems and social anxiety! During this time my family and friends had given up on me because they found it to be too hard. But I NEVER did!!

I wouldn’t change any of it! I’ll never say that life was unfair, in fact I believe it was my past events that have guided me to a brighter future!

My life now is so different today! I now coach women globally on achieving their goals and growing their mindset! I also model and run a successful business

I have lived a full life and every challenge shaped me into who I am! If I would have said I can’t, could you imagine what I would have missed out on.

Here are some of my life’s journey & memories I collected along the way 💕🌱🌿

February photo shoot seeing red and black

This month I wanted to style a simple and sexy shoot with Valentine’s day being this month!

I had so much fun shooting with Glen and Brent. Brent’s images will be up next 🙂

Migena did soft curls and a soft and natural smoky eye.

Glenn created the sultry vibe, yet tasteful and classy!

I modelled and this was just some of our amazing images. I couldn’t be happier.

Celebrating your own success, why is this taboo?!

Shawna Patruno

In life is it pompous or even selfish to celebrate where you came from and what you accomplished?! To Toot your own horn if you will. Is this a case of a big head or a result of human codependency?!

Last week I realized I accomplished a great deal of my goals I set for myself! Things I worked my ass off for, yet when I told others and they didn’t seem as excited for me as I was. I started to doubt myself and to devalue my own success! I allowed someone else’s opinion to overshadow my own! Why would I do that?! It’s simple, I wanted validation because I felt my own validation didn’t seem big enough.

Let me expand on this whole concept of needing approval. In life, at an early age we start relying on others for approval. When we take our first steps, say our first words, ride our first bike ride etc. Approval approval approval!

You get my point right, basically at a young age we are conditioned to seek approval from others. Unaware of it a lot of this carries over into our adult years. Seeking for others to give us value which we never gave ourselves.

However if you want to be exceptional and unique you need to break the rules and celebrate yourself. Break the mold and realize you are the only person with you forever. Your opinion should matter more than anyone else.

Celebrate that job you worked your butt off to get, that make up look you blew out of the water and starting a whole new venture on your own. Not needing validation is the most validating thing ever.

Very rarely will people treat you the way you feel you deserve to be treated, it’s so important to do it for yourself.

Pop your champagne, take a dream vacation, buy your self that something you wish someone would buy you!
